Lizzo Rings in the New Year With Massive Vegan Feast  

Vegan musician Lizzo recently shared on social media the massive vegan spread she had catered for New Year’s Eve dinner and New Year’s Day brunch. The artist hired Las Vegas-based vegan restaurant The Modern Vegan (TMV) to cater for her private celebration with close family and friends. TMV head chef and general manager Lily Pineda along with another TMV chef drove to Los Angeles, where Lizzo resides, for the event.

Lizzo shared a number of videos on her Instagram stories of the vegan dishes that were served for her celebration. For dinner, Lizzo and her crew enjoyed dishes such as Elote Takis Fries, cauliflower wings, jalapeño poppers, Crunchwraps, Meathead Burgers, Chick’n Fettuccine Alfredo, and mac and cheese. Brunch the next morning consisted of a Chick’n and Waffles bar, V’Egg scramble, vegan bacon, fresh fruit, waffle toppings, and Fruit Crumble Chimichangas and Oreo Mousse for dessert. “We’re huge Lizzo fans, so this was truly an honor to make happen for her,” TMV owner Gia Schultz told VegNews. “This was such a great way to kick off 2021!”

Spreading the vegan love
Since revealing that she went vegan in June, Lizzo has shared a variety of plant-based recipes and dishes on her social media channels, including her spicy vegan take on McDonald’s McChicken sandwich, vegan ice cream bread made with Ben & Jerry’s new Netflix & Chilll’d non-dairy ice cream flavor, and mac and cheese and vegan fried chicken for Thanksgiving.
