Martina is a journalist and editor with experience in climate change reporting and sustainability. She is the Editor-in-Chief at Earth.Org and Kids.Earth.Org. Before moving to Asia, she worked in Vienna at the United Nations Global Communication Department and in Italy as a reporter at a local newspaper. She holds two BA degrees, in Translation/Interpreting Studies and Journalism, and an MA in International Development from the University of Vienna.
Gauri Sharma is a graduate of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where she majored in Communication Design. Currently serving as a Design and Production Intern at Earth.org, Gauri creates engaging social media content and writes about environmental issues, in addition to conducting research. With a diverse background in design, journalism, and digital marketing, she combines her skills to foster effective communication. Gauri is deeply passionate about using her expertise to raise awareness of environmental challenges and make a positive impact in the field.
Afshan Khan is an Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations and Coordinator of the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Movement. Ms. Khan was appointed by United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. she served in UNICEF as the Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia and Special Coordinator for the Refugee and Migrant Response in Europe. She has also led UNICEF’s humanitarian work as Director of Emergency Operations and its external relations with governments as Director of Public-Sector Alliances and Resource Mobilization.
Amir H. Khodadadi holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering and a master's degree in economics of development and planning from Science and Research University in Iran. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in Agricultural and Food Economics at the University of Bonn. Having worked as a lecturer in industrial economics and as an urban economics analyst, Amir developed a passion for political economy and studies on underdevelopment. His current research focusses on industrial economics, agricultural economics, the green economy, green finance, and the global financial crisis.
Amish Chhagan is a Zambia-raised, award-winning wildlife and conservation photographer based out of Barcelona, Spain. Growing up in Zambia, he was fortunate to be in close proximity to the African flora and fauna. His role as a wildlife photographer exists because there are beautiful and spectacular moments to capture in the wild, but an important duty exists to preserve and conserve the wilderness and its natural habitat. This gives him a bigger sense of responsibility as a human and photographer to use his work to showcase the beauty of the once-abundant wildlife we had on the planet. Ms. Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana is Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). Genevieve Hilton has worked in corporate affairs and sustainability in the Asia Pacific region since 1994. She previously led ESG and communications in Asia Pacific for Lenovo, as well as Corporate Citizenship and External Communications Asia Pacific for BASF. Since taking a step back from the corporate world in 2022, she has become a full-time sustainability activist and writer. Under the pen name Jan Lee, she is an award-winning science fiction writer. She is the co-author, with Steve Willis, of "Fairhaven – A Novel of Climate Optimism" (Habitat Press UK), a winner in the Green Stories contest. Her work has also been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and recognized several times in the “Writers of the Future” contest. She also is Editor-in-Chief of The Apostrophe, the quarterly magazine of the Hong Kong Writers Circle. She currently acts as a senior advisor for a number of environmental and social activist organizations, as well as co-chairing the Energy & ESG Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce of Hong Kong.

Julia Yansura is the Program Director for Environmental Crime and Illicit Finance at the FACT Coalition. Prior to joining FACT, Yansura served as Program Director for Latin America and the Caribbean at Global Financial Integrity, where she led projects in Colombia, Belize, Ecuador and El Salvador covering environmental crimes such as illegal mining and logging, as well as on other topics such as beneficial ownership, real estate, cryptocurrency, and international trade.
Kareff Rafisura is with Space Applications Section of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). Kareff has extensive experience in climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, and environmental sustainability at the community, national and regional contexts. She has worked for the United Nations over the past 15 years and has a graduate degree in Earth and Environmental Sciences with a focus on climate and society from Columbia University in New York.

Marianne is a Hong Kong-based journalist and an honorary lecturer at the Journalism and Media Studies Centre at the University of Hong Kong. After working as a social scientist in New Zealand she studied for a masters in journalism at Columbia University in New York. She has worked for major outlets like CNN.com, AFP, Reuters and Bloomberg and freelances for The Economist, Restofworld.org and Context.com, among others. She teaches a climate reporting course at HKU and is a judge for the annual Society of Publishers in Asia journalism awards.
Michael is a MSc student in a joint program between University College Dublin and Justus Liebig University, studying global change: ecosystem science and policy. He also holds two bachelor’s degrees in environmental science and policy, as well as integrative animal biology from the University of South Florida. Ms Neena Joshi is a Senior Vice President for the Asia Program at Heifer International. With over 20 years of experience in community development, Neena offers strategic and programmatic leadership for Heifer International’s interventions in Asia, which supports over 500,000 smallholder farmers, largely women, in building inclusive agrifood systems. She authored several research papers on social capital, child nutrition, and gender, which she has adapted into impactful program designs and development approaches. She serves as a board member for Heifer Korea and Heifer India.
Rachel works at Columbia University and is currently a graduate student in the Social-Organizational Psychology program at Teachers College, Columbia University. Rachel began her career in higher education at Brown University working in human resources. She currently sits on the communications team in the president’s office at Columbia where she writes, edits, and manages digital and print communications from a variety of stakeholders. She is passionate about writing and storytelling, and she is strongly motivated by having a greater impact on a community. Slawomir Platta earned his degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and the University of Warsaw. He’s been trying construction accident cases throughout the Courts of New York for 20 years and has been featured as a Super Lawyer consecutively since 2015.
Steve Willis is an engineer and innovator with decades of experience providing solutions to environmental problems for large scale industries. The start of the covid lockdowns gave him pause to think carefully about climate solutions, what was needed and what it would take to get there. This led to a collaboration with the GreenStories team to produce the No More Fairy Tales anthology for COP27. Steve continues to work on large scale climate solutions, currently developing a CO2 sequestration mineralisation process which can be deployed at the million tonne scale.
Zeina Moneer holds a PhD in environmental politics from Freiburg University in Germany. In 2018, She was a Visiting Research Fellow to the Nordic Africa Institute in Sweden. In 2021, She was a Visiting Fulbright Scholar to New Hampshire University in the USA. She worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Research Institute for a Sustainable Environment of the American University in Cairo. In addition to her academic accomplishments, she has an extensive professional experience working as a Senior Climate Change Program Manager in multiple national and international NGOs, leading the development and the implementation of a wide variety of climate action projects in the MENA region and Africa. In addition, she works as a freelance climate journalist and writes both in Arabic and English covering a wide variety of topics that are related to climate change and green transition particularly in the MENA region.

William is the Data Science and Visualisation lead at Earth.Org. He originates from South Africa where he has worked for the United Nations Information Centre as well as for UNICEF. He has ever since worked as a Data Scientist, Analyst, Engineer as well as Governance for the past 10 years. He has worked in several different countries such as New Zealand, the USA, England, Singapore, and Hong Kong, helping different corporates, NGOs as well as the Public Sector in using data to drive operations (“Make data work for you”).
