Around the world, more people are turning to veganism for health, environmental, and ethical reasons. In the US, research suggests that around 4 percent of the population is totally vegan, and many, many more are either vegetarian, pescetarian, or flexitarian. In fact, some research suggests that more than half of Americans aged between 24 and 39 have cut down on animal products. So with that in mind, it’s no surprise that celebrities, too, are changing their dietary habits.
How many celebrities are vegan?
Some A-listers, athletes, and TV stars are totally vegan (check out our list of 36 vegan celebrities, which includes people like Travis Barker, Joaquin Phoenix, and Venus Williams), while others, like this list of celebs moving away from meat demonstrates, are just interested in the meat-free movement.
It’s hard to say exactly how many celebrities are vegan or are considering going vegan, but one thing is for sure: many of them love to share their own attempts at plant-based cooking online. And we have to say, some of them are pretty good. For some of the best vegan celebrity recipes so far this year, including tasty soups, cookies, cocktails, and more, keep reading.
